The Tibetan people
of Yushu Prefecture live in very harsh conditions. Many
lack adequate housing, food, healthcare and education. Improving
the nomads' life conditions in Yushu is a complex longterm
project that will involve many people, organizations and
governments. The Tibetan Support Programme run by Dr Dave
Webb in Australia is one organization that has been doing
work in the region to assist the nomadic people since 2003.
Their work is truly benefiting many impoverished people
in need of external help. I applaud their commitment to
improving the lives of others. I urge everyone to support
their efforts in whatever way you can.

I strongly endorse the activities and leadership of the
Tibetan Support Programme (TSP) Group. This non-political,
non-religious foundation will significantly improve the
lives of many children young children in Qinghai Province
and other Tibetan ethnic regions of the Peoples Republic
of China. While in Nepal in November 2001, my Australian
friend Dr. Dave Webb met Lobsang Tsering, a Tibetan monk
who wanted to build a school for the kids of Qinghai. Dave
looked around and decided it could be done. I have no doubt
that Lobsang and Dave can make their vision become reality.
Construction of this school in Qinghai will only be the
first of many benefits the TSP will have to its credit in
Tibet. This Programme is a real opportunity for those interested
in helping Tibetan children inside the PRC. I highly recommend
getting involved in this project as a way of assisting these
terribly needy Tibetan kids.
